My Infinite Selfie Journey
Back in 2009, I realized that mastering the digital darkroom with Photoshop was essential for my growth as a photographer. While I understood the basics of graphic design, I aimed to create images that appeared polished and natural. My vision was to produce images that looked like stills from a movie. To achieve this, I challenged myself with weekly assignments, selecting random ideas and brainstorming how to composite photographs to tell a story.
The first assignment was inspired by Salvador Dalí’s favorite number, eight, symbolizing infinity. I envisioned the concept of a selfie, where a photographer holds their camera, and within the lens, time extends infinitely. From that moment, I vowed that in eight years, I would recreate this concept. In 2017, I produced the second edition of my infinite selfie. Now, here we are in 2025, and on my birthday, I created the third edition of the Infinite Portrait. The next version will come in another eight years, but I’m in no rush to grow older—time seems to fly by! Is it just me, or am I becoming more attractive as I age? I thought the opposite would happen. Each life experience has contributed to my growth, maturity, and depth, making me more interesting than I ever imagined.
I find that my inner beauty is beginning to shine through more vibrantly. With each passing year, I feel lighter and more transparent, shedding layers of self-doubt and insecurity. I've become stronger, both emotionally and mentally, and my self-awareness has deepened in ways I never anticipated.
This journey has taught me that true beauty transcends physical appearance; it’s about embracing who I am and celebrating the wisdom that comes with age. I’m learning to appreciate my unique qualities, and I believe this newfound confidence radiates outward, making me feel more attractive than ever before.
